Polvorones of Nougat 300g 15 uni/box
In the province of Sevilla, Estepa, there are the traditional "Polvorones" Mantecados and "Alfajores" sweets consumed in Spain at Christmas.
The origin of the polvorones comes from the Andalusian community and, specifically, from the Estepa, where, since the 16th century, it was common to use lard in confectionery thanks to the abundance of holm oaks in the forests, the habitat in which this animal was raised.
Nowadays, it is a typical product of Christmas pastries in Spain and in many Spanish-speaking places. It is called polvorón because when you add the flour it seems that there is dust on top of the sweet.
Ingredients
It is made mainly with flour, lard from cow or pork, sugar and cinnamon. Ground almonds are generally added to it, and may have other additives such as grated coconut, sesame (sesame seeds), etc. to create different types according to the consumer's taste.
